TWD Season 5 Episode 11 "The Distance" Spoiler

A new episode of The Walking Dead is upon us tonight. When we last left the group they had just encountered Aaron. For those of us who have read the comics this is an exciting time - this means Alexandria is near. For those who haven't read the comics - you may be suspicious of him. Let me tell you a little more about him to put your mind at ease - this isn't Terminus take 2!

Aaron, along with his partner/boyfriend Eric are "recruiters" for Alexandria. As one "scouts" the survivors the other is watching in case of any problems. Don't worry we will meet Eric later in this episode! It's their job to find "the good people" to bring back to Alexandria and kill those who aren't. During this episode while the group has Aaron tied up in the barn, baby Judith is crying incessantly, he offers applesauce to calm her - seems like a nice enough guy, right? Well Rick thinks it's poisoned and refuses.

Rick send a convoy out to surveillance the area looking for Aaron's partner and the vehicles he claims to have. They only find the car and RV, and decide to vote whether to go on with Aaron. After the vote is yes - Rick decides it must be on their terms. The group breaks up between Rick, Michonne, Glen and Aaron in the front car with the rest of Ricks group following in the RV.

The group encounters some rush hour traffic - AKA walkers and gets split up. We then see a flare going up and Aaron alerts them that it is Eric and he is in trouble, the group heads towards him. We then see Daryl fighting off walkers and whistles to the group to enter a building. There we find the rest of Rick's group with Eric, whom they just rescued from walkers. Eric made it this time - but he isn't so lucky next time...

After a long day of making friends and fighting off walkers and good nights rest they venture off the next morning to the Alexandria - safe zone! The group arrives at the gates, they get out of their cars waiting for the gates to open - and then the episode ENDS, ugh! We'll have to wait for Episode 12 - "Remember" to find out what happens next.

Be sure to keep an eye on Rick when they arrive, he hides something in a blender right outside the gates of Alexandria - think Terminus...
